WEIRBANK REPLACES ELVERIC.The Bank Line motor-ship Weirbank is now to go to Chile to load nitrates for New Zealand and Australia, in place of the company's steamer Elveric. The Elveric will take the Weirbank’s charter and load phosphates at Makatea. Island for Australia. MATAROA S PASSENGERS. —The following is the passenger list of the Shaw. Savill and Albion liner Mataroa, which is due at Wellington from Southampton on April 29:—Saloon: Miss B. Crawford, Mr. P. El worthy, Mrs. Klworthy, Miss D. El worthy. Miss A. Ensor, Mr. E. Hunt, -Sir. A. Cliff McCulloch, Miss Z. Nathan, Miss E. Sommerville, Mr. Turnbull, Mrs. H. Turnbull. PASSENGER SERVICE TO CEASE.— The New Plymouth-Onehunga passenger service is being abandoned by the Northern Company and the Ngapuhi is to withdraw from the run when she returns to Onehunga from New Plymouth on Mav 3. She will then come to Auckland and relieve the Clansman in the Russell service on May 5, while the Clansman undergoes overhaul. The Ngapuhi will be replaced on the West Coast by the motor vessel Hauturu. which will run a bi-weekly cargo service between Onehunga and New Plymouth. The Hauturu will take up the service leaving Onehunga on Monday, May 5. but after the initial trip she will leave On.--hunga for New Plymouth every Saturday and Wednesday.
NARBADA LEAVES SINGAPORE.— Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that the Narbada, en route from Calcutta to New Zealand, left Singapore on Sunday morning. She is due at Auckland about May 10, and later proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge. LADY LEWIS ARRIVES.—An arrival in port early this afternoon was the steamer Lady Lewis with a cargo of 7,560 tons of phosphates from Nauru Island for unloading that this port. The vessel berthed at King’s Wharf to discharge her cargo to the agency.of Henderson and Macfarlane Ltd. THE MARAMA.—Advice has now been received that the Union Company’s Royal Mail steamer Marama cleared San Francisco at 2 p.m. last Friday for Sydney, via Papeete, Rarotonga and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on May 7 and at Sydney five days later. She has passengers, mails and cargo. MAIMOA’S PROGRAMME. —An arrival at Lyttelton yesterday was the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Maimoa in ballast from Cardiff, to load New Zealand produce for Rotterdam and London. From Lyttelton she goes to Wanganui, New Plymouth and Wellington to complete* loading, and is scheduled to clear Wellington on May 12 on her Homeward voyage, via the Panama PORT FAIRY SAILS 9 p.m.—The Farmers’ Auctioneering Company advises that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Fairy, now at Queen's Wharf loading for London, is to be dispatched at 9 o’clock tonight for Wellington to complete her cargo. The vessel is scheduled to sail finally from the capital on May 1 for London, Ada the Panama Canal. MAHIA’S ITINERARY. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Mahia, which arrived at Wellington yesterday morning in ballast from Cardiff, is loading New Zealand produce for London. She subsequently loads at Napier, Wqikokopu, Gisborne and Auckland, is due at this port on May S, and sails finally from here for London, via Monte\’ideo. on May 16. CITY OF WINNIPEG DUE 6 P.M. — The New Zealand Shipping Company has received further wireless advice from the Ellerman and Ducknall steamer City of Winnipeg, inward bound from New York, stating that she expects to arrive in the stream here at 6 o’clock this e\-ening. The vessel, which is under charter to the A. and A. Line, has a cargo of general Eastern American merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She will unload the local consignment at Prince’s Wharf. HUNTINGDON DUE 9 P.M. —A radio message received from the Federal steamer Huntingdon, inward bound from Liverpool, states that she expects to arrive in port at 0 o’clock tonight. The vessel has a cargo of general merchandise irom west Coast United Kingdom ports tor. unloading at Auckland, Hawke’s Bay ports, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. lONIC POSTPONED. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises tliat the departure of the lonic from Wellington for Southampton and London has been postponed until 5 p.m. on Alay 10, instead of Alay 7. THE ULIMAROA.—Advice received from the Huddart-Parker Company states that its intercolonial passenger steam* ' Ulimaroa is to leave Sydney tomorrow afternoon for Wellington with passengers, mails and cargo. She is due at Wellington on Monday morning. MAKURA'S TRANSHIPMENTS. — The Union Company’s Alakura. which arrived at Wellington early on Monday morning from Sydney, brought transhipments ex the Cathay, Trianon, Alaloja, Grandon, Mongolia, Orontes, Haros, Kowarar, Orama, Tanda, Nieuw Holland, Karanui, Westralia, Tongo Alaru, Nlrpura, Jervis Bay. Aagtekerk, Archises, Ormiston, Alungana, Kiwi tea, Dimboola and Mareeba. She is due at Sydney on Monday morning.
