WEST END AND MOUNT ALBERT

‘ Three Live Ghosts.” the immensely popular talking: comedy, will be presented again this evening at the West End Theatre, Ponsonby Road, and at the New de Luxe Theatre, Mount Albert. This is a talkie of pure amusement all the way. It tells of the misadventures of three British soldiers who return to London after being prisoners of war and reported as dead. In one case the man’s mother was collecting money on an insurance policy and naturally didn’t want to lose that. The cast is a particularly tine one and includes Beryl Mercer as the old Cockney lady, Joan Bennett. Claude Allister as “Spoofy.” and Shayle Gardner as the Scotland Yard detective investigating a jewel theft.
