MANAWATU SEEKS SUBSIDY Press Association PALMERSTON N-, Today. Seeking the minimum Government subsidy of C 150.000 on a basis of ii for 6 toward the expenditure on the proposed modified scheme of flood control the Manawatu-Oroua River Board again waited upon the Hon. E. A. ltansom. Minister of Public Works. After further submissions had been mad© it was intimated that the* extent of the assistance from the Government could not be expected to exceed £10P.,000, spread over five years. No finality was reached today.
