GESTURE FOR PEACE
A three-Power treaty—the chief fruits of the London Naval Conference—which effects a substantial cut in fleet tonnages and means a monetary saving of about £70,000,000 in the next five years, was signed in London yesterday by the representatives of Great Britain, the United States of America and Japan. The treaty is described in Britain as a tremendous advance along the road to permanent peace. Minor agreements were made between the five Powers. This group of photographs shows the principal delegates to the conference, with the convener, the British Prime Minister, in the centre.
