REMUERA WEDDING

BRIDAL FROCK OF IVORY MOIRE AND SILVER LACE MOUNTED ON PINK CHIFFON GILMOUR—HILLYER St. Aidan's Church was the scene of a pretty wedding last evening when Miss Eileen Frances Hillyer, second daughter of Mrs. K. Hillyer, of Remuera. and the late Mr. A. Hillyer, of Wellington, was married to Mr. Eric Gilmour, fourth son of Mrs. Gilmour and the late Mr. W. Gilmour, of Motherwell, Scotland. The Rev. H. A. Coleman performed the ceremony. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. H. J. Court, and was charmingly gowned in ivory moire and silver lace, mounted on shell pink chiffon. The full lace skirt, panelled with moire, dipped to the ankles at either side. Her veil was of pink tulle, forming a long train, and was arranged with a headdress of orange blossom and silver leaves. She carried a shower bouquet of white and pink flowers. In attendance were little Marjorie Taaffe and the bride’s two small nephews, Richard and David Court, the latter carrying the train. The flower girl was in an anklelength frock with an ivory satin bodice and frilled net skirt, and a gold lace juliette cap. She carried a Victorian posy of gold-coloured flowers. The two little page boys wore Kate Greenaway suits of white satin, the tight-fitting jackets having frilled collars. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Noel Meeson, of Woodliill, Kaipara, as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held at Mrs. H. J. Court’s home. 201 Remuera Road, Mrs. K. Hillyer receiving her guests in a frock of black moire velvet, with a skunk fur wrap, and a black hat. She carried a bouquet of mauve chrysanthemums. Mrs. H. J. Court was in a gold lace frock and a small gold hat. She carried a bouquet of crimson roses. Among the guests were:—Mr. and Mrs. Harold Court, Mr. and Mrs. P. J. McLean (Greymouth), Dr. and Mrs. W. Gilmour, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hillyer, Mrs. M. Gilmour (Wellington), Mrs. Roberts and Miss Roberts ( Wellington), Mr. and Mrs. Noel Meeson (Woodliill, Kaipara), Mr. and Mrs. W. Taffe, Air. and Mrs. G. Park, Mr. and Airs. S. Cross, Air. and Airs. K. Aimer, Air. and Airs. C. Trevithick, Air. and Mrs. Frank Rose (Tirau), Airs. Andrew, Airs. Tite, Airs. Rose and Aliss Rose, Air. and Airs.
