SUPPLIES STILL GOOD AFTER-HOLIDAY DEMAND After the Easter holiday period good supplies of fruit and produce came forward at today’s auctions at the City Markets. There was a good demand. Eggs were sold at the same price as last Thursday, but it is expected that there will be a slight drop shortly. The demand was fair for all dessert fruits, but there is practically no market for culls and windfalls in apples. Tomatoes are in good supply. Grapes sold at slightly higher prices this morning. Strawberries are still being offered, although it is six months since the season opened.
