P.S. HE GOT THE JOB
Whispering Jack Smith, the radio baritone now in the movies, was a photo engraver at the age of 13. He sung around the shop all the time and it annoyed the boss. Finally the boss told Jack his place was on the stage and fired him. When the boss got word eventually that Jack actually had got a job on the stage, he almost fainted.
