JOCKEY SUSPENDED

SiX MONTHS FOR H. WIGGINS T'.io well-known lightweight jockey, H. Wiggins, was suspended for six months after the running of the Nelson Handicap at Ellerslie today. After the race the stewards held an inquiry into the running of Hannibal and. arising out of the inquiry, Wiggins was suspended for wilfully giving false information as to the loss of an iron during the race. He was suspended in accordaneewith Part S2, Rule t Clause VIII., which states: "If any person should wilfully and corruptly supplv any false information or make any false declaration respecting any matter connected with racing, he shall be deemed guilty of a corrupt practice and may be disqualified for any specified period.”
