ACCIDENT AT LANDING
AIRPLANE’S AXLE BREAKS MACHINE LITTLE DAMAGED Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. The undercarriage and propeller of Simmonds-Spartan airplane, the first machine of the Wellington Aero Club, va ® slightly damaged late yesterday afternoon when one of the landing wheels came adrift after the airplane touched earth. The machine was Piloted by Mr. K. J. Lloyd, who is 4 Tactically ready for his “A” ticket. ‘‘l made a good landing.” he said shortly afterward. I didn’t bump.
