WEEK-END LULL
RAILWAY TRAFFIC EASES EXTRA EXPRESSES TONIGHT Raster traffic will be heavy today and to-morrow, when travellers will return to their homes. Two extra South-bound expresses will be run this evening, making a total of five trains from Auckland to Wellington. The Daylight Limited will leave at 7.53 a.m., the Limited express and the second express at 7.10 p.m. and 7.40 p.m. as usual, and the two extra expresses at 5.40 p.m. and 9.20 p.m. / Yesterday and Saturday were fairly quiet days. The two excursion trains between Auckland and Rotorua on Saturday were heavily booked and about 250 people travelled between Auckland and Hamilton by .the usual Sunday excursion trains yesterday. Neither the 7.10 nor the 7.40 p.m. expresses was crowded last evening and extra South-bound expresses were not required.
