Mason, vicar at Howick, has been grunted three months’ leave from his parochial duties on account ill-health. Mr. J W. McDonald, Commissioner of Rum l Intermediate Credit, arrived in Auckland from Wellington yesterday, and is staying at the Grand Hotel Captain A. de T. Nevill has been transferred to tho New Zealand Permanent Air Force from the Royal New ■ Zealand Artillery, with the rank of flight-lieutenant, and has been appointed staff officer to the Director of Air Services.
