CHARGE OF THEFT

PLUMBER REMANDED A remand until April 26 was granted in the Police Court today, when Arthur Herbert Scarrott appeared on a charge of theft. Accused, who is a plumber and labourer, aged 32, was changed with stealing, at Lower Hutt on April S, a man’s overcoat and felt hat, valued at £5 ss, belonging to Bertram George Spooner. He was arrested by Detective Allsopp. Sub-Inspector Shanahan applied for a remand in order to obtain information from AA'ellington. as other charges were probable.
