WHITEWASH FOR OUTSIDE USE
No. I.—Take fifty pounds of freshly slaked lime and four pounds of coarse salt, or, if obtainable, brine from the butcher. Mix with water to the requisite consistency. No. 2. —Or take fifty pounds freshly slaked lime, sufficient water, and one and a half pounds of fat or tallow, which can be added while the lime is boiling.
