Musical and other items were given by Miss Coghlan (Waimauku), Mr. Tate (Greenhithe), Mr. Kerr and Miss Trendle, and Mr. Kohlies. Mrs. Kelly’s (Birkdale) Orchestra capably supplied the dance music, and was assisted by Mr. Peter Black, of Birkenhead. Among those present were Mesdames A. Stevenson, AV. It. The purpose of the function was the raising of the balance of the association's quota of the cost of a bus-waiting pavilion. An awning of multi-coloured crepe paper was the chief feature of the decorations. Excellent dance numbers were played by Miss Daly’s Orchestra, the extras being played by Mr. Selwyn Gorman. An appreciated item were solo dances by Miss Kathleen Reid.
