THEFT OF £1475

SECRETARY ADMITS CRIME COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE Pres 3 Association TE KUITI, Today. The former secretary of the Waitomo Power Board, Victor Daniel Wisnesky, pleaded guilty in the Police Court this morning to charges of the theft of money, the property of the board, amounting to £1,475. Mr. E. M. Mackersey appeared for accused and after evidence had been given, accused was committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence, bail being allowed. Evidence- giveu by the Government auditor disclosed that the accused converted to his own use moneys received by the board, and amounts which should have been paid out by cheque for accounts owing by the board. The auditor sala tnat accused had given every assistance in the unravelling of the position concerning the defalcations.
