WILL THEY BE LUCKY?

AT time of writing from Wanga* nui, “Abaydos” has received no notification of any penalty for Baron Derby or Zealous for their successes last Saturday. Baron Derby, off 3.39, won the Suburban Handicap in 3.33, while Zealous annexed the mile dash off 2.22 in 2.19 2-5. At Hawera Baron Derby is handicapped on 3.39 in the Auroa Handicap, and Zealous on 3.35 in the Stratford Handicap. If they have escaped a penalty, it is quite evident they should be well supported in their respective events.
