John Hawes, a w*harf labourer, said || he lived with his wife at 18 Claremont Street, Grafton. John Henry Hawes was his son. He was a single man, | aged 32. and an electrician by trade. I He had been out of work since Christ- j mas. At 7.30 p.m. on April 16, wit- | ness and his wife had gone to the i pictures. They returned about I and found their son lying in the room I with the gas tube in his mouth. ~ I verdict of suicide by gas poisoning I was returned.
