Continue along the concrete road to Avondale* Just before reaching Henderson a road to the right goes to Tui Glen. Eight and a half miles from Henderson a road turns off to the right to Coatesville, taking the right fork past here to Albany. Two miles further on rhe Main Road is reached. There is now an unmistakable run past Brown’s Bay, Custer Bay, Milford and Takapuna on a concrete surface to Devonport, where the vehicular ferry runs to Auckland.
