O’Donnell is in command of the Nikau. The Kaitoa is now under the command of Captain A. H. Fisk. Captain G. D. Fraser lias been trans--1 erred to the Waipnlii. and Captain A. Davey will take command of the lofua. In command of the Royal Fuel Auxiliary Nucula, which arrived yesterdav morning from San 'Francisco, is Captain A. \\ . Beardsall, and lie has with him the following officers: Chief, Mr G Atwood; second, Mr. F. Pine; third. Mr. A\ . Wilcocks; chief engineer, Mr. FT R Bu lli more; second, Mr. A. E. Fallwell; third, Mr. TL Boyd; fourth, Mr. E. O. Crawford; fifth, Mr. P. L. Cristie; wireless operator, Mr. A. E. Hayward; chief steward, Mr. G. S. Yates. ; ORMONDE AT FREMANTLE. The Orient liner Ormonde arrived at Fremantle from London yesterday. After calling at Adelaide and Melbourne, the vessel is due at Sydney on April 24. WAIPAHI FOR APIA.—The Union Company announced this morning that its Island fruit steamer Waipahi was to sail at 2 o'clock this afternoon for Apia, Samoa, to load fruit for this port. The vessel was at King’s Wharf. KARAMEA AT LONDON.—The Shaw, ST;' 1 !’ w? motor-ship Karainea.’ v Inch hft A\ ellington for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain on March 11, is reported to have reached London, last Monday. ULIMAROA SAILS TOMORROW.—The Kuddart-Parker Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa, now at Central Wharf, is to sail ar. 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon for Sydney, taking passengers, mails and cargo. She is due at Sydney on Monday morning. THE WAIHEMO.—The Union Company's transpacific cargo steamer Waihemo reached Suva from Westport-- vesterday. From Suva the vessel will proceed to Pacific Coast ports to load for Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, and New Plymouth. TAHITI FOR SAN FRANCISCO.— The Royal Mail liner Tahiti is to leave Sydney for San Francisco, via Wellington Rarotonga, and Papeete, tomorrow. The Vessel is due at Wellington on Monday morning, and she is to resume her voyage on Tuesday. P. AND o. line FARES.—The P. and O. Line, advises that commencing with the Maloja, which is scheduled to leave Sydney on May 27 for London, the J . and O. company will adopt a range or nine first-class fares instead of three as formerly. This will bring them into line with the Orient Company. PORT HARDY SAILS,. PORT SYDNEY LEAVES COLON. The C. and D. Line has received cabled advice that the Port Sydney, en route from London to Lyttelton in ballast, left Colon on Saturday. She is due at Lyttelton on May 4. TAIROA SAILS.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa sailed for Wellington, Lyttelt-on, Timaru, and Dunedin yesterday afternoon, in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool. DOCKING OPERATIONS.—The cruiser H.M.S. Dunedin undocks at 2.15 o’clock this afternoon, and the steamer Awahou docks three-quarters of an hour later. The warship will berth at Sheerlegs Wharf, and the tanker Nucula is to lie at the Sheerlegs extension. KAIRANGA REPORTED. With Pacific Coast cargo the Union Company’s Kairanga is due at Napier today from Los Angeles, via Honolulu. She will leave aga-in tomorrow for Lyttelton, Bluff. Nelson, Wanganui and New Plymouth to complete discharge. DAGHESTAN REPORTED.-The Shell Company has received a wireless message from its chartered tanker Daghestan, en route from San Francisco to Wellington with bulk motor spirit, reporting that she expects to arrive in the stream there tonight. MATAROA LEAVES BALBOA * — Cabled news has been received bv the Shaw Savill Company that its liner Mataroa, en route from London and Southampton to Wellington, cleared Balboa on Friday morning last. She is due at vv ellington on April 29. GISBORNE DREDGE TO SAIL.—The Gisborne Harbour Board’s dredge Korua, which has been at Western Wharf for some weeks undergoing overhaul, repairs and refitting, is to leave under her own power tomorrow for Gisborne. ALEXANDER NOT DAMAGED. The Anchor Company’s small coastal steamer Alexander, which ran ashore at French Pass last week, went on the patent slip at Wellington on Mondav morning for examination. The vessel was found to have suffered no damage to Iter hull. PASSENGERS ON MOOLTAN.—R us _ sell and Somers, Ltd., advises that the following passengers for New Zealand' travelling by the P. and O. line? CANADIAN COMMANDER TOMORR°W The local office of the Canadian National Steamships has received advice that their steamer Canadian Commander is expected to arrive-at 9 a.m. tomorrow from Halifax. She has general cargo tor discharge at Auckland and Australian ports. On arrival here she will berth at Prince’s Wharf after pratique has been granted. REPAIRS TO ELVERIC’S FUNNEL.— The Bank Line steamer Elverio. after unloading a raw sugar cargo at Chelsea, will be removed to King’s Wharf this afternoon to have her funnel lifted ashore by a Harbour Board crane. The funnel is to be repaired by having a new middle section fitted. When the work has been completed, the funnel will be replaced. It is expected this will be done tomorrow, and the vessel is to sail for Westport -on Friday. Bunkers will be replenished at Westport, and the Elveric will then proceed to Iquique, Chile, to load for Sydney. HOKIANGA sailed last night for Hokianga and is due back in the w’eek-end. She sails again for that port on Thursday next week. NGAPUHI arrived this morning from New Plymouth, and is to sail again on the return trip at 3.30 o’clock this afternoon. She leaves that port on Thursday evening and is due at Onehunga on Friday morning. RONAKI is expected back tomorrow morning from Raglan, Kawhia and Waikato Heads.
