MUNICIPAL CHOIR

The programme for the Municipal Choir concert in tli& Town Hall on Saturday evening next will include choral works by Mendelssohn, Dudley Buck and Brahms. Miss Mina Caldow will sing “My Heart is Weary,” from “Nadeschda,” and other. songs, and Miss Ina Bosworth will play violin solos by Mendelssohn and Tschaikowsky.

“The General,” a European'stage success by Ludwig Zilahy, noted Hungarian playwright, has been purchased by Paramount. Tho all-talking version is to be one of the big attractions for 1930-31. Zilahy is at the Paramount Hollywood studios adapting the play for the screen.
