BIG INCREASE OVER FOUR YEARS STATEMENTS OF ACCOUNT How maintenance costs of the Auckland Hospital have been steadily increasing over the past four years was revealed yesterday, when comparative figures were presented to the board. In that time the actual receipts have increased just over £59,000 and the actual expenditure over the same period has grown by £70,000. In 192 G-27 the actual receipts were £192,316. The following* year the total* reached £215,293 and jumped in 1925-29 to £256,446. During the past year, which closed on March 31. howover, the revenue declined to £251,640. The actual expenditure in 192 G-27 was £212.163, in 1927-2 S. £243.042. in 4928-29, £271,700, and in the past vear ended on March 31, £282,250. The estimated payments for 1929-30 were £264,961, so that the board overspent to the extent of £27.777. while a saving of £10,459 was effected on other items. In comparison with the estimate of receipts aggregating £204,961, the actual revenue fell short by £21,323, while revenue on some items increased’ by £8,002 ISs lid. During the past 12 months the receipts under the capital account were £41,897 and the payments £36,561. In the same period the loan account receipts totalled £181,156 and the payments £14..656.
