GRAVE CHARGE
i Trevor Norman Foote, a labourer. I oged 20. pleaded not guilty at the j Police Court this morning to a charge ; involving a girl of the age of 15 years six months, at Whangarei on March j 9. Foote was committed to the Supreme i Court for trial. Air. Xoble, who apj peared for accused, made no request : for bail. According to police evidence, accused was in the employ of a circus company ; and had met the girl while he was looking after the monkeys at Whangarei. Tie had persuaded her to accompany him to Auckland on the circa - j train. tt V
