ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL MEETING Press Association WELLINGTON, Monday. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Football Association was held this evening. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected: Patron, the Governor-General. Lord Bledisloe; president, Sir Charles Statham; additional vice-presidents, the Hon. W. Mclntyre, Messrs. H. J. Duncan, 11. W. King, J. 13. McCallum. J. M. Ilott, Commander G Blake; hon treasurer, Mr. W L. Wilson. Regarding Brown Shield matches, it was agreed that an extra 30 minutes be played in drawn games, the same rule to apply to Peter Dawson Cup matches. It was decided to recommend the New Zealand Council to investigate the question of playing of English trophy matches, and if possible to arrange with major associations that home and away game’s be played by each major association. A long debate took place on the playing of soccer in schools, and the report of a sub-committee was adopted. This pointed out that action lay with associations and clubs. It urged consultation with head-masters. A remit to permit replacement of injured players was ruled out or order.
