ESCAPED FROM GAOL
MAORI BREAKS OUT OF ROTORUA LOCK-UP CAR REPORTED MISSING Arrested at Rotorua yesterday on a charge of converting a car to his own use, Simon Koti, a Maori, aged 26, escaped from the Rotorua lockup last evening. At the time of his escape ICoti was dressed in a navy suit, old hat, tan shoes, and had no collar or tie. It is thought that he may be driving a slate-grey Ford sedan car, which is notified as missing. The registered number is 158 —511. The police are watching for him at Auckland.
