HOLIDAY-MAKER ENTERTAINED AT FAREWELL EVENING

MANUREWA FUNCTION A very pleasant social evening was held in the Homai Mission Hall, Manurewa, on "Wednesday, to bid bon voyage to Mrs. A. Guthrie, who is shortly leaving on an extended holiday to Australia. The Rev. Mr. Griffin eulogised the good services given to the district by Mr 3 Guthrie, and on behalf of the large gathering wished her a pleasant holiday. A programme of musical items, which, was interspersed with games, was contributed by Madam Aileen Frost, Airs. Guihrie, Airs. Pearce and Mrs. Gibbs, Airs. A. Wrigley and Ruth Atorton. A dainty supper was served by the members of the Homai Women s Guild, after which a very pleasant evening was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
