Gay Evening at Dixieland

Aero Club Officials Make Merry' MANY DANCERS PRESENT Dixieland was the scene of much gaiety on Saturday evening, when as a fitting “wind-up” to the Aero Club pageant, a large party of officials with their wives and friends, spent a bright evening at the cabaret-by-the-sea. During the evening an exhibition of the I£3o waltz and the new “six-eight” 1 was given by Aliss Molly Ballantyne, of the Alargaret O’Connor studio of Ballroom Dancing, and her partner. Air. Harry Xeilson and the Dixieland Band were in the best of form and played all the latest and most popular dance tunes. IX THE AERO CLUB PARTY Airs. Spencer-Mason was wearing a lovely embossed georgette frock in tones of water nymph green and sunset pink. Pale amethyst and mauve gros grain taffeta was chosen by Airs. J. Seabrook. Airs. AV. S. R. Bloomfield's gown of beige lace was worn over flesh pink chiffon. Mrs. AAL A. Boucher was gowned in gentian blue net worn over matching satin. Airs. L. AV. Aliss Irene Aiason, Wellington, chose leaf green crepe de soie. Aliss Joan Gardiner had on a cream Chantilly lace frock. Aliss Pauline Alurphy, a Gisborne visitor, was wearing black georgette, appliqued with floral motifs. OTHER DAXCERS PRESEXT Mrs. Afark Davis was wearing a black chenille, embossed georgette gown. Airs. E. Alison had a pretty lace frock of palest maize gold and shoulder spray of flowers. Airs. S. Gillies, chose honey-beige and georgette. Airs. Eldon Xapier was in palest phlox pink georgette, with panels of narrow frills trimming the skirt. Airs. Curry was in bla«k georgette and tulle, relieved with touches of gold and old rose. Airs. U.
