Galvin i decided to start a paper in Hawera, | bringing his printing plant from Wai- | mate, South Canterbury. He had Mr. j Joseph Braden Innes -with him as ! partner. From the first issue the j paper has never looked back. The jubilee issue contains some striking articles, including a history | of the paper by the first editor and j proprietor, Mr. P. Galvin. The history of Hawera is also fea- | tured in two special pages. The special number is profusely illustrated, and is an excellent piece j of work throughout.
