USEFUL BARRELS
Small white-lead barrels make excellent containers for large ferns or pot plants in the house. Paint the wooden part black and the hoops a bright colour, and bore holes in the bottom for drainage. As the inside of the barrel is coated with whitelead it is practically everlasting. AMARYLLIS | Amaryllis bulbs do better and give I a more brilliant display of blooms j if they are left in the ground a,nd the clumps not divided for som© years, j Manure the plants when the growth i begins to show.
