Among the distinctive features of ‘‘Nix On Dames.” the alltalking Fox Movietone production of actors at home now at the Plaza is a dual theme song. The unusual story, woven about a team of acrobats who are professed woman-haters, and their experiences with two vaudeville actresses, contains a dual romance, and one theme song wouldn’t do. as the characater types are diametrically opposed to one another. Consequently L. Wolfe Gilbert and Abel Baer, the composers who evolved the catchy tunes for the picture, decided to write two theme songs, one for each of the leading couples, in addition to their other melodies in the film. These two numbers, ‘‘Two Pals” and “The Song of My Heart,” are rapidly becoming best-sellers in the musical field, despite the fact that the picture has been released but a short time. The Plaza’s new programme will also include a number of bright supporting items
