THRILLS PROMISED
TONIGHT’S BROADSIDING Cup finals and match races between Auckland and Australian champions promise to make the cinder track race meeting at Western Springs this evening as exciting as any in the past. Tonight will see the decisive race between Alf Mattson, Auckland’s hero, and - Bobbie Blake, the 19-year-old broadsidei* from Sydney. These champions have won one race each and promise thrills in plenty in this final. The match between Ben Bray and Max Graham, of Sydney, should also be «n outstanding event. Tom Butler, who has won the first two series of the Norton Cup contest, will meet Mattson in the last series for this trophy. An interesting novelty should be the race between Mattson, on his motorcycle, and Phil Seabrook, driving a super-charged baby car.
