SHUNTER INJURED
NARROW ESCAPE FROM DEATH TRUCK PASSES OVER BODY From Oitr Oicn Correspondent HTJNTLY, Today. A shunter employed by the Railway Department, Mr. Percy Fennessy, 3?, married, had a miraculous escape from death today in the Huntly railways yard. He was engaged in the wo£k of slipping trucks, when he fell in the middle of the track in front of the fast-moving waggon. With great presence of mind he kept quite still, but was caught by the; Westinghouse undergear and seriously, cut on the hands, legs and back of the head. Dr. Duncan Mac Diarmid was promptly in attendance. Though an artery at the back of Mr. Feimessy’s head was punctured he was able to be taken to liis home. His condition is regarded as satisfactory.
