BIRTHS EXCEED DEATHS Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. During Alarch, the total live births registered for the urban areas amounted to 1,030, as against 987 February, an increase of 43. The death* in Alarch were 467. an increase « 10 as compared with the month. Of the total deaths, males contri* buted 247 and females 220. Forty of the deaths were of children under five years of age, being 8.57 per cent, of the whole number. Twenty-six of these were under one year of age.
