SOUTHLAND EXPECTS . . . !

It has been suggested that two selectors should be appointed in connection with the selection of New Zealand Association teams, one to represent the Xorth Island and one the South Island. The Southland Football Association goes further, for in a remit to be submitted to the annual meeting of the Xew Zealand Association it is suggested that the South Island selector should be a resident of Otago. What has Christchurch done to be debarred from possessing the honour of being the home of the Soccer selector? It is certain that more Soccer is played in Christchurch than is played in Dunedin, and it looks as though Southland considers that it will not receive ‘‘fair doos” unless they can get a neighbour as selector.
