GRAND THEATRE

“The Shop Worn Angel.” which is to be screened at the Grand Theatre for a short season commencing today, i 3 an entertaining romantic drama of the love of a New Y’ork chorus girl for a poor soldier boy. Nancy Carroll is the girl, Gary Cooper the soldier who is in New Y’ork on final leave, and Paul Lukas, the theatrical friend of Nancy’s and aspirant for her hand. The film is beautifully synchronised with sound and music and the latter part is in dialogue. A number of entertaining shprter items complete the programme.
