CAR STRIKES BRIDGE

WOMAN MOTORIST HURT From Our Own Correspondent OPOTIKI, Today. As the result of a motor-car accident on the Waioeka Road last night Mrs. Gate was admitted to the Opotiki Public Hospital suffering from head injuries and shock. Her condition is not serious. The car in which Mrs. Gate was travelling left Opotiki on a journey to the relief works in the Upper Waioeka. A few miles from Opotiki the steering went wrong and the car crashed into the railings of a small bridge. The other occupants of the car escaped practically unhurt, and later were able to continue their journey.
