PLAZA AND TIVOLI

TWO BIG TALKIES An exceptionally fine double talkie programme is being presented at both the Plaza and Tivoli Theatres. The chief attraction is “A Song of Kentucky,” which comes direct from the Civic Theatre. This is a romantic story of a New York song-writer and a young Southern society girl, and abounds in scenes of exciting horseraces as well as views of New York life. Joe Wagstaff and Lois Moran have the leading roles. The second big attraction is shown in a delightfully amusing tale of London society life and of a philandering husband. This is “Charming Sinners,” which is based on Somerset Maugham’s play, and is presented by a full cast of stars, headed by Ruth Ohattorton, Clive Brook and William Powell.
