Backhaus Coming Shortly RETURN VISIT Music-lovers in Australia and New Zealand are looking forward with tho greatest delight to the forthcoming tour by Wilhelm Backhaus, the worldfamous pianist, who created such a
furore on his previous visit to this quarter of the globe some four years ago. The Australian tour will commence in Sydney on Saturday, April 26, and it is anticipated that New Zealand will be visited about the middle of the year. The tour will be under the direction of E. J. Gravestock, Ltd. In the great musical centres of Europe there is a tremendous demand for Beethoven's works just now, and a veritable Beethoven fever is reported from the Continent. It is therefore interesting to note that in each city to be visited here by Back baus one all-Beethoven programme will be given.
