VICTIM OF CROSSING ACCIDENT ARCHDEACON SERIOUSLY ILL Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. Archdeacon H. Purchas, who was badly hurt when, the bus in which he was travelling yesterday afternoon was struck by a train at the levelcrossing at Hornby, sis miles south of Christchurch, is reported to he still seriously ill. The condition of Mrs. P. H. Johnson, of Pleasant Point, the other passenger who was admitted to hospital, is satisfactory. Archdeacon Purchas received severe head injuries and shock and Mrs. Johnson was badly bruised and also suffered shock. Several other passengers were affected by shock, hut not seriously. -
