WHOLE STAFF SACKED
WORKS CLOSE AND THROW OUT 1,500 MEN STEEL WORKERS’ FLIGHT Reed. 2.55 p.m. SYDNEY, Today. A blast furnace at the Australian Iron and Steel Company’s works at Wollomgong, has been closed, and over 1,500 men, the whole of the employees of the works, have been thrown out of work.
