SLIM CLEARANCE MEASURE INCOMMONS LONDON, Monday. The second reading of the Government’s Housing Bill was moved in the House of Commons today by the Minister of Health, Mr. A. Greenwood! He said the Bill would introduce a new method of clearing slum areas, simplify the purchase of homes and enable local authorities to develop a coherent housing policy. A crowded House applauded the maiden speeches of Miss Megan Lloyd George and Mr. Malcolm MacDonald. The debate was adjourned.
