FREEZING WORKS STRIKE

NO CHRISTCHURCH SUPPORT Press Association DUNEDIN, Tuesday. All is quiet at the Burnside freezing'works today. After two days of “go slow” policy, the boards are now working at the normal rate. It is not anticipated that the trouble at Finegand, where the men are on strike will have any serious effect at Burnside. The men at Burnside held a stopwork meeting yesterday, and after the employers’ side was presented to them they decided to resume work at nor mal pace immediately. The tactics of the men since Friday caused a reduction in the killings of about 3,000 sheep. The hold-up at the works, however, was not serious, as when the trouble was anticipated tho company restricted its deliveries.
