EXHIBITION OFFICIALLY OPENED The first exhibition of book-plates ever held in New Zealand, arranged by the Literary Committee of the City Council, was officially opened at the Art Gallery yesterday by the Mayoress, Mrs. A. D. Campbell. Mrs. Campbell said the exhibition V ’i aS Tvc^ iaci ? r by the generosity Miss .Hilda "Wiseman, an enthusiastic, creator and collector of bookwho had loaned a portion of her collection for exhibition purposes. Miss Ellen Melville, chairman of the Library tommittee, said the exhibition v-n? ° n , e series of displays of art which had been given during the last low years.
