HE LEARNT

MAN WHO SOUGHT INFORMATION GOT IN RUGBY SCRUM From, Our Own Correspondent NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. Rugby football in Taranaki is a very serious business and one not to be lightly discussed. A man named Lenihan, an old footballer, discovered this to his cost on Saturday night when, after the opening match of the season, he became invovled in an argument with three other men about scrum formation and was subsequently discovered lying near the Terminus Hotel, battered, unconscious and bleeding profusely. He was badly knocked about, but refused to disclose the names of his assailants. The whole party is believed to have been under the influence of liquor. Medical attention was necessary for Lenihan, but his condition is not serious. The police have so far been unable to discover his attackers.
