APPEAL FOR TRADE STIMULUS United P.A. —By Telegraph— Copyright SYDNEY, Monday. At a conference of the Graziers’ Association of New South Wales, Mr. F. H. Tout, in his presidential address, said new uses for wool must be found, such as the creation of finer, lighter and brighter fabrics, which could compete successfully with substitutes. Wool had rested too long on its laurels. In the course of a speech at an exhibition of wool products the Premier of New South Wales, Mr. T. It. Bavin, said the value of the wool in a man s eight-guinea suit was about seven shillings. That was where a reduction should be made to the consumer. The heat way to sell more wool was to sell it more cheaply to Australians.
