RECHABITES GROWING
MORE MEMBERS AND ASSETS An increase both in membei-shin and in assets during the past, five years is reported by the Auckland district blanch of the Independent Order of Rechabites. - Government valuation report foi the period to December 31, 1927 shows a surplus of £ 16,354. Assets then totalled £48,395, and by the end of ? st year had increased to £54,603. 1 <U7 ri lYn e years to the end of 1J27, £5,910 was paid out of the sickn®fs 5 u , nd and funeral benefits amounted to £1,194, During the five years branches were nmuf? at Lynn ' Hikurangi and Ota.huhu, and since then at Mount Albert and Morrinsville. The increase in membership over the seven > ears was 360, now’ standing at 1,286. There are also 3 5 juvenile tents with a membership of 1.295. A scheme for further extending the benefits to members is under consideration by the district executive, according to the secretary. Mr. 1) M a Bodley, of Mount Albert.
