p r . T. H. A. Valintine, DirectorGeneral of Health, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. H. R. Jenkins returned to Auckland yesterday after attending the conference of the New Zealand Rotary Clubs at the Chateau, National Park. Mr. E. C. Schnackenberg, of Onehunga, left last evening for Greymouth to Join the engineering staff of the public Works Department^ Mr. Russell Owen, of the “New York Times.” who has been spending a holiday in Auckland after his return with the Byrd Antarctic expedition, left for ■Wellington last evening. The Rev. T. E. Riddle and Mrs. Biddle, with their three boys, left Bombay for Sydney on February 28. on their way to Auckland, where they will occupy the missionary manse.
