UNEMPLOYMENT SCHEME

HON. W. A. VEITCH HOPEFUL BOARD OF INQUIRY SET UP Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. At a farewell to Andrew Collins, one of New Zealand’s founders of trade unionism, the Hon. W. A. Veitch, Minister of Labour, said a board had been set up at his instigation to investigate unemployment and make recommendations. He had drawn up a scheme of which Cabinet approved and which would be published shortly. He considered it would do much to relieve the unemployment problem, and though it might be improved upon, it was impossible to devise a scheme which would appeal to everyone as perfect.
