NORTH SHORE SWIMMING
EILA MUNRO CUP The North Shore Amateur Swimming Club’s final fixture for this season was held at Cheltenham Beach on Saturday afternoon. The chief event was the Eila Munro Cup. , The tide was half out and a strong easterly wind made conditions very rough for swimming. Results were:—Eila Munro Cup, 220yds. handicap.—N. Watson (25sec), 1; M. Elwartli (scr), 2; B. Atkinson (lOsec), 3; F. Kitcliingman (2dsec), 4. Time, 3m 41 4-ss. Miss Elwarth made a big effort to overhaul Miss Watson, who had a big lead at the start, but owing to swimming irregularly was one yard behind the winner at the post. 50Yds. Breaststroke (North-Shore Club Championship).—B. T. Lowe, 1; A Spraggin, 2. Time, 50s. 220Yds. Club Championship.—C. Beck 1; T. Lowe, 2; A. Spraggin, 3. Time, 3m 245. A very good tussle in rough water. Beck won by half a head after a good race. IOOYds. Scratch Championship.—C Beck, 1; T. Lowe, 2; J. Curtayne, 3 Time, 68s.
