COUNTRY AERO CLUBS
AMALGAMATION SUGGESTED From Our Own Correspondent TE AWAMUTU, Saturday. The report of the recent Aero Club's Conference, held at Blenheim, was read at the monthly meeting of the Te Awamutu Aero Club. Mr. A. Hanna presided. The opinion was expressed that it would probably be necessary to form an amalgamation or association of clubs in the South Auckland districts with branches in each centre. It was decided to invite the Hamilton Club to convene a conference of delegates from clubs in the South Auckland area to discuss the idea of a major club with branches in each centre.
Mr. Mackenzie reported on his interview with Mr. Valentine in Hamilton regarding the feasibility of promoting an air pageant in Te Awamutu. Mr. Valentine said his firm would be willing to send its machines to the pageant provided the local club organised all details.
