From Our Own Correspondent OPOTIKI, Today. Improvements to the approaches to th© Waioeka bridge were decided on at the monthly meeting of the Opotiki County Council on Friday. The Minister of Public Works promised to give favourable consideration to a request for flood damage relief. In reply to a. request from the Commissioner of Crown Lands for a name for the new beach domain, it was decided to suggest “Hukuwai Domain." Further sealing work has been completed on the main highway at Waiotahi. It was decided to approach the Main Highway's Board asking that the Waioeka road be sealed from the boundary to the Opotiki factory.
